Ohio University: Culinary Production Center Master Planning and Design.

Project Highlights

  • Hendon & Redmond provided master planning and schematic design services for the expansion and renovation of a university’s central food production and distribution center.
  • The resulting OU Culinary Support Center would include 45,000 SF of renovated area and additions totaling 13,700 SF.
  • Renovation and upgrade plans involved the Bakery Operation, Produce Processing and Warehouse & Distribution.
  • Additions to the facility included:
    • Culinary kitchen for production of cooked entrees and soups
    • Training and conference area
    • Expanded employee facilities
    • Space for the integration of associated purchasing operations
